The Icefield Quartet

The Icefield quartet debuted in 2024 at the Crystal Saloon in Juneau, Alaska to an enthusiastic and standing room only crowd. Founding members  William Todd Hunt (clarinet), Sally Schlichting (flute), Elena Levi (violin and viola), and Ben Holtz (cello) sought to form a quartet with a unique instrumentation that has a wide range of color. The Icefield Quartet’s focus is performing new compositions, lesser known works, and arrangements of better-known pieces. Each musician is accomplished in their own right, whether through a combination of conducting, teaching, performing, and composition. This coming season they will tour in Southeast Alaska and expand their reach and the repertoire for the ensemble.
