COME FROM AWAY
Book, music and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein

February 19-28, 2027

When the world stopped on September 11, 2001, the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, opened its heart. As 38 planes carrying nearly 7,000 stranded passengers were unexpectedly diverted to their community, the people of Gander responded with extraordinary generosity, offering food, shelter, friendship, and hope. Based on the remarkable true story, Come From Away is an uplifting, award-winning musical that celebrates kindness, resilience, and the enduring power of human connection. Directed by Nathaniel Claridad.

This production is supported in part by Block Foundation, Alaska State Council on the Arts, and Filipino Community, Inc.

Presented in partnership with Juneau Public Libraries.
