Matt Otto is a Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Award–nominated composer, sound designer, and adoptee based in New York City. In New York, Matt has designed productions for companies including Red Bull Theater, The New Group, Audible, Pipeline Theatre Company, New York City Children’s Theater, Colt Coeur, Tectonic Theater Project, The Amoralists, The Barrow Group, Cherry Lane, The Atlantic Acting School Conservatory, and many others. Regionally, his work has been heard at Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Folger Theatre, Woolly Mammoth, GALA Hispanic Theatre, Imagination Stage, Brown/Trinity Rep, Yale Repertory Theatre, Arkansas Rep, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, and more. He has also designed numerous productions for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Matt holds an MFA from the Yale School of Drama and a BFA from Boston University. He is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829.
