Ginger Patterson

Ginger Patterson is a Level 6 dancer at Juneau Dance Theatre and an incoming sophomore at Juneau-Douglas High School: Yadaa.at Kalé. She has studied dance for most of her life, including previous training with Fusion Dance Company. This coming year, Ginger will expand her training through participation in the JDT Fusion Dance Team, where she looks forward to exploring new styles and performance opportunities. Ginger has danced lead roles in The Nutcracker, including Coffee and Hot Chocolate, and has appeared in numerous other JDT mainstage shows and community collaborations. As a younger dancer, she was featured as Clara, in The Nutcracker, and in the principal role of Nora, in Laszlo Berdo’s, Carnival of the Animals. Ginger performs annually in Collette Costa’s beloved Holiday Extravaganza, and appeared as a fairy, in Theater Alaska’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She has attended several JDT Summer Intensives, training with renowned guest faculty; and has attended Sitka Fine Arts Camp. Ginger finds dance to be an instinctive and joyful way to express herself—an outlet that is both creative and energizing. She draws inspiration from her fellow dancers and friends, and considers the JDT studio a second home.
