Donnie Gott is a Juneau based theater artist and educator. Their Shakepearean roles include Ophelia (Hamlet), Puck (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Gurtrude (Hamlet), Rosalind (As You Like It), Hermia (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Hermione (The Winter’s Tale), Ariel (The Tempest), and Herself (The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged). Donnie has worked with Juneau youth for over 20 years through Juneau Dance Theatre, Poetry Out Loud, Artist in Schools, and taught at Perseverance Theatre’s Summer Theatre Arts Rendezvous (STAR) beginning in 2012, through 2020. Directing credits include Antigone, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, The Lion In Winter, King Lear, and WITCH. They have worked and performed with Theatre Alaska, Perseverance Theatre, Juneau Dance Theatre, Juneau Ghostlight Theatre, Gold Town Nickelodeon, and is a 25 year company member of Theatre in the Rough.
