Angel Desai

Angel is an NYC-based actor/singer/musician who has also served as an adjunct professor of Acting at New York, Pace, and Fordham universities. Her most recent theater work includes writing, directing, music directing, acting, singing, and playing multiple instruments in her show "A Day In The (Inner) Life" at NYC's renowned cabaret space, 54 Below.  Her most recent TV and film work includes guest stars on CBS' "FBI", Amazon’s “Fallout”, Peacock's “Poker Face”, recurring as Judge Hines on “Law and Order”, and the indies Peas and Carrots, Sideways for Attention, klutz., and Lady Apsara. She has voiced Odie in the award-winning podcast “Tinkercast: Who, When, Wow – The Mystery Edition”, Dana Singh in Hulu’s 2nd season of “Dicktown”, Queen Lili’uokalani for PBS’ “Unladylike” series, and First Minister Jinn in the game “Gears of War” 4 & 5. Broadway: "Company" (2006).  Off-Broadway includes MTC, MCC, and repeat offenses at NYTW, CSC, Playwrights Horizons, The Public/NYSF, The Women's Project, and Ma-Yi Theatre Company. Regional theatre includes Yale Repertory, George St. Playhouse, Berkshire Theater Festival, Old Globe, McCarter Theater, Cincinnati Playhouse, Long Wharf, Arena Stage, Playmakers Repertory. Angel co-founded the Obie and Tony-award winning activist group AAPAC, the Asian American Performers Action Coalition. She is an 18-year member of the Actors Center Workshop Company, and holds an MFA in Acting from NYU.
